Sharing Our Love For God
Our family here is dedicated to serving God and doing so in accordance with His will and through His word, the Bible. We feel together, in Christ, our family members work with the leadership of this church body and under it’s guidance according to I Peter 5:1-5 to serve our loving Saviour and Lord, Jesus Christ. As members of the body of Christ and specifically this body that assembles here in Vero Beach, we would like to encourage you to walk in a manner that is worthy to your calling according to Ephesians 4:1. We believe it is our responsibility, Ephesians 4:11, to assit you in your walk and to equip you for works of ministry.

Sharing Our Love For God's Family
So as members of the body of the Vero Beach church of Christ, we ask you to commit yourselves according to Philippians 2:12 and “work out your own salvation with fear and trembling” through the study of God’s word both individually and with in the body. We pray you will continue with Paul’s thoughts as individuals of the flock in I Peter 5:6-11 and humble yourselves to one another (the body), be firm in your faith and allow Christ to restore, confirm, strengthen and establish your salvation. In order that, you may “offer yourselves a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, not conforming to this world; but being transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:1-2.
Sharing Our Love To Serve
As a member of our family, we ask you to consider the finishing thoughts in Romans 12:3-8. “For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness. We encourage you to pray about these scriptures, to discern for yourselves what your spiritual gifts are given to you by God and how you feel you might be able to serve other family members with those gifts. Likewise, our family commits to you to share with you your needs and to offer the spiritual gifts of our family members as the body of Christ to help meet those needs. We refer to this as the “need/need relationship” within the body.

2:42 Small Groups
Our small groups are based on the concept of Acts 2:42, "They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." The goal is to help us grow in the second phase of our purpose statement–Love God's Family. We have found that it is difficult to develop close relationships in the short time we have together each week. Our focus is driven more by our worship to God and the study of the Bible. While these are important so is developing the Lord's church into a loving family. As Jesus had a small group of disciples to share His successes, struggles, and trials, we too believe this is a biblical model for His church. Through the food and fellowship in each other's homes, to discussing Biblical matters, and praying with one another about everyday issues, we connect to one another and experience growth as they did in the first century.
