Vero Beach Church of Christ is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. If we are blessed to have you transition from visitor to member, we do not want you to feel alone in this commitment. We want you to know we are just as committed to you as you are to us.  We have a phrase here called getting “plugged in”.   We will make sure that your transition from visitor to member is a pleasant one and that your journey with our family becomes a welcome benefit to you in your life as we all strive with a commitment to “Love God, love God’s family, and love to serve”.  Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Vero Beach Church of Christ.

Small Groups

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, Vero Beach Church of Christ has small Bible studies held in member homes. The size of the group is anywhere from 10-15 members.

Youth & Children

There are children’s Bible classes on Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings and Wednesday evenings.  The children’s ministry program is an active and lively part of our church family and they participate in many activities and service projects.  Our youth group enjoys time together in Bible classes on Sunday mornings, and Sunday and Wednesday evenings.  Devos, lock-ins, and bonfires are just a few of the many things our teens get together for.

Women

Vero Beach Church of Christ gives the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our women’s groups include a place for young mom’s, as well as a place for ladies of all ages and phases of life giving them opportunities to bond as sisters-in-Christ and serve those in our church or community with the love of Jesus.

The ladies group meets for lunch the first Monday of each month at 11:30 at the Food Court in the Indian River Mall.

Men

There are many opportunities for men to be involved in the work at Vero Beach Church of Christ. The men of the congregation may serve as worship leaders and servers, Bible class teachers, providing help to members and community members in need, as well as opportunities for fellowship, bonding, and spending time in God’s Word as brothers in Christ.  They enjoy fishing, bonfires, golf tournaments and campouts.

Over 50’s

Once you get past fifty, the fun has just begun. Whether retired, just plain tired, or active as ever, the “Rockin Seniors” group of Vero Beach Church of Christ provides refreshment, ministry, and times of valuable interaction. Not only do they enjoy fellowship, but many of our “young at heart” find ways to get involved in many different aspects of church life…including preparing communion, conducting and attending bible studies at assisted living facilities…and the list goes on.

The Rockin’ Seniors meet the third Thursday of each month in the Hebrews room for dinner and games.

Intercessory Prayer Groups

Once a week, before our Wednesday evening classes, a group of men and women come together with the sole purpose of earnestly lifting up prayers to God.  They pray for members who are going through difficult times in their lives whether it is due to medical issues, family problems, loss of a loved one, addictions, and many other reasons.  They also pray for our military as they continue to serve overseas, or return to our homeland and cope with injuries or finding their place in their surroundings again.  They pray for our government leaders and any important events that are taking place in our world.  This group offers an invitation to anyone that would like to join them in this weekly prayer meeting.
