Mt. Dora Children's Home & Bible School
The mission of Mt. Dora Children's Home is to help every child discover their future for life and eternity. Believing that each child is a gift from God, the Home inspires children to follow Jesus and become life-long learners and to serve generously. The Children's Home also operates a Christian school, but our support is focused on the Home and the nurturing of children's needs. One of our elders, Joe Wild, is on the Board of Trustees for the Christian Home and Bible School. We have had a long relationship with Mt. Dora and have supported them financially for many years.

The church on the Island of Antigua was established in 1971 with the arrival of Brother Cornelius and Sister Doris George from San Juan, Puerto Rico. The Vero Beach Church of Christ has supported this family from the beginning. Currently, their average attendance is 130, with many young people. Our members have been on mission trips over the years to support the church in Antigua and have returned with heartwarming and moving personal testimonies on what they witnessed during their mission to bring more of those on the island to Christ.

Arthur and Anora David, our mission family in Liberia, West Africa, founded and operate the Ford-Madden Christian Academy, which provides Christian education for students in grades K-12. Their work also includes establishing and nurturing new congregations in that part of the world. Liberia is an English-speaking country that is a fertile field for mission work. We began our support of the David family in 2009. Arthur and his wife have visited us on several occasions and given us personal reports about the opportunities in Liberia.
